I'm running 52 miles throughout the month of October to end stigma against mental illness and support Family Services, an organization providing vital support to people across the Hudson Valley. As someone who lives with mental illness and has experienced internal shame because of it, I understand just how hard it is to share that you're struggling, especially when you experience cultural or socioeconomic barriers. With the support of my inner circle and therapist, I continuously seek transformation in ways that align with my values and lifestyle.

Still, not everyone has that safe space or access to high-quality treatment, and that needs to change. For me, that starts in the Hudson Valley: a place I long associated with difficult memories of suicide loss, trauma, and my own mental health struggles, now a place I consider to be an anchor for my emotional and spiritual growth. In my time here, I want to give back to this incredible community and expand support for those who need it. Accordingly, I ask you to donate to Family Services on my behalf, or at least take some time to check in on anyone you think might need some extra love or guidance.
